Plant a Tree Protect a Tiger

Plant a Tree Protect a Tiger

Our Bardia eco-tourism initiative not only combines adventure with wildlife conservation and community support, letting visitors enjoy nature and wildlife while simultaneously making a positive impact.

Conservation by Tree Planting in Guests’ Names

As part of our eco-tourism initiative,  our Tiger Encounter team additionally runs a Tree Planting Program in Guests’ Names in the buffer zones of Bardia National Park.

This program is designed to build harmony between people, wildlife, and tourism, ensuring that both tigers and communities thrive. In fact,  everyone who joins our Tiger Tracking Tour in Bardia, Nepal, as our valuable client will receive a tree sapling to plant in their own name within the buffer zones of Bardia National Park.

The program aims to:

  • Reduce human–wildlife conflict: By restoring forests and creating buffer plantations, we help minimize encounters between villagers and wildlife, especially tigers.
  • Protect both people and tigers: Villagers often enter the forest to collect firewood, fodder, and other household essentials, which increases the risk of conflict. By providing sustainable community forests and alternative resources closer to villages, we reduce these dangers.
  • Support local livelihoods: Trees planted will include a mix of fast-growing fuelwood species, fruit trees, and fodder trees. This ensures communities have daily necessities without venturing deep into tiger habitats and reducing the need to enter tiger territory.
  • Enhance eco-tourism value: Guests can participate in tree-planting activities, contribute to conservation efforts, and leave a lasting positive legacy in their name.

Conservation through Treehouse Stays & Awareness Programs

Tree House Stay:

Experience the wilderness of Bardia National Park like never before. Stay in our secure and fully furnished Tree House Tower Stay, located in the lush Bindapuri Community Forest.  Staying in treehouses allows guests to experience the forest firsthand. It fosters a personal connection to the environment they are helping to protect. All the earning from this tree house goes directly to the local communities and create awareness among them.

Awareness & Educational Programs:

Each month, our team organizes awareness and educational programs on tiger conservation, forest ecology, and community coexistence. The programs raise awareness about sustainable resource use and the importance of protecting wildlife. Community engagement ensures that conservation benefits both people and wildlife.
