Experience an exhilarating panoramic mountain flight to Kathmandu. As soon as you see the vistas of the snow-capped mountain peaks stretching beneath you, a series of unforgettable memories start creating in your mind.

A representative from our office will greet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel or our recommended hotel for you. The representative will assist you with checking into the hotel of your choice. Upon arrival at the hotel, get refreshed with a welcome drink. In the evening, you will receive a briefing about the daily activities to be undertaken in the following days,

Early breakfast and fly to Nepalgunj. Drive to Bardia National Park (3 / 4 hours) by private transport.

Birding sites: Babai River and Sal-forest. 
Possible sighting: Black Storks, Black Ibis, Woolly-necked Stork, Slaty-Woodpecker, Kingfishers, Waders, and Raptors.  

Visit densely wooded areas, lakes, and rivers around Badia National Park to spot various birds and animals. Spend the entire day in the jungle and move to a hotel after sunset. Packed lunch and refreshments will be made available to you during the jungle activities. You will have your lunch outdoors listening to the sounds of the forest throughout this trip.  

Day 03: Get inside the deep forest of Bardia National Park in a Jeep to watch the birds flying and living freely in the trees. 

Day 04: Vessel a traditional dugout canoe, flow quietly in Karnali River, and watch birds searching for prey by the river bank. Canoeing gives you an excellent opportunity to photograph various birds and animals.

 Day 05: Ride a rickshaw or a traditional cart to nearby lakes Barhaiya lake and Pokhara Pokhari to see waterfowls and other raptors.

After 250 km of a drive from Bardia which takes around 5-6 hours to check in to the hotel and freshen up for yet another birding venture. Against the backdrop of a glorious sunset over the Narayani River watch birds and enjoy boating. About 114 species of birds can be seen on the banks of this river. Likewise, Sanischare Lake stretched around 2500 m is also a place worth visiting for birding. Dine on the riverside restaurant enjoying the cool breeze after sunset.

Visit Nawalparasi forest that lies to the east of Daunne Siwalik Range. The forest is extended from Bardghar to Sunwal covering an area of 4000 hectors. It is located at an altitude of 350 meters. Involve in bird watching along with vulture feeding program after breakfast till lunch. After lunch drive to Chitwan National Park, the most popular wildlife tourism destination of Nepal.

Check in to the hotel and visit the nearby villages and the national park's visitor's center for detailed information about its wildlife. Spend a relaxing time at Narayani river bank to watch the sunset. After the sun is down visiting the community hall for Tharu cultural program.

Chitwan National Park hosts varieties of migratory and resident bird species. More than 550 bird species can be found in the forest, wetlands, riversides, and lakesides around the park.

The forest and grasslands of Chitwan National Park are famous for wildlife tourism. Given that there are varieties of activities that can bring you close to the nature and culture of the ethnic Tharu community. During your two nights three days of stay in Chitwan, you can indulge in activities like:

Canoe Ride: Canoe ride on the gentle rivers of the lowland of Chitwan rejuvenates the frame of mind. Also, it provides excellent opportunities to view birds and animals that come by the riverside to quench their thirst. Eavesdrop to the sounds of water splashing, birds singing and nature being at its absolute best. "Do not splash, touch or play with the river water as you float and calm down upon sighting the crocodile."
 
Jungle walk: The jungle walk is done at the thickly wooded areas of Chitwan National Park with a nature guide. Walking quietly in the forest full of wild animals can be a thrilling experience. However, if you follow an experienced nature guide it can be the most fun wildlife experience. These local nature guides know about the forest and possible safe sighting places. Likewise, they can also instruct about the necessary safety measure in case of any mishap or wild animals encounter. "Remember to follow the guide's instructions and be very quiet for a better experience."            

Jeep Safari: Jeep safari drives us by two major lakes, Lami Taal and Tamor Taal which are great spots for bird watching. Besides these safari takes to the places where one-horned rhino, sloth bears, wild boars, deer, etc can be spotted. Even leopards and the majestic royal Bengal tigers can be sighted occasionally. "It is advised to not make noise and disturb the wild animals in any way if you see one. These wild animals are best to be observed in their natural behavior."      
    
Tharu Cultural Program: A cultural program performed by the Tharus is another highlight of the Chitwan National Park visit. Their colorful traditional costumes and stick dance are very captivating. These shows are organized every evening in the community hall. 
  
Visit Bishajar Lake (Twenty-thousand Lake): The 20 Hajar (thousand) lake is a famous birding destination. It is known for watching migratory birds. This lake is also an alternative route if the drive is not possible due to the high water level in the river. "Do not make unusual sounds or talk loudly or throw anything to the birds."

Possible bird sighting: Great Hornbill, Bengal Florican, Siver-eared Mesia, Grey Headed-fish eagle, Pallas fish eagle, King-fishers, Woodpeckers, Bee-eaters, parakeets, etc.

After breakfast, you will drive from the plains of Chitwan to Pokhara for 4 to 5 hrs, the lake city of Nepal. Once you get checked and refreshed, you can spend your evening by the lake. 

Splendid mountains can be seen permitting the weather from your hotel room. The forest by the lake accommodates varieties of birds.

Possible Sightings: Asian Barred Owls, Great Barbets, Niltavas Kalij, Pheasant, Puff-throated Babbler, Crimson Sunbird, Green Magpie, Red-billed Blue Magpie Nepal’s only endemic bird, the Spiny Babbler (endemic to Nepal), Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Bonelli’s Eagle, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Steppe Eagle, Shaheen Falcon, Himalayan Griffon Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Shikra, Eurasian Griffon, northern sparrow-hawk, Common Kestrel and various sun-birds. 

Drive or fly back to Kathmandu after breakfast. If you fly back you can enjoy the time saved strolling on the streets of Thamel and shopping for souvenirs. While hitting the road on a private vehicle or tourist bus is also equally entertaining. In view of the fact that you can enjoy the beautiful landscape, hills and get to meet other trekkers and travelers. Check in to a hotel in Thamel and get ready for your last birding hike in the hills of Kathmandu.

The hills that surround Kathmandu valley host more than 500 species of birds. Varieties of resident, migratory, and passage migrant birds can be seen and heard in the forests of Kathmandu. 

Phulchoki Hill: 
Phulchoki hill is the most popular bird-watching spot in Kathmandu. It is the highest peak on the Valley rim situated 20 km southeast of Kathmandu. The hill is said to host around 265 species of birds. Likewise, the Godavari Botanical Garden located at the foot of the hill records over 100 species of birds.

Possible sightings: Babblers, warblers, tits, thrushes, minivets, woodpeckers, eagles, the lesser racket-tailed drongo, Tibetan siskin, spotted forktail, and many other migrant birds.

 The Shivapuri National park
Shivapuri national park is another best bird-watching site around Kathmandu. Nagarjun Forest situated 5 km from Kathmandu is a renowned sight for bird enthusiasts. 

Possible Sightseeing: Blue magpies, Kali pheasants, Bonelli’s eagles, great Himalayan barbets, etc.
