Full Day Tiger Tracking

The desire for watching the tiger in the wild starts today. Get into the jeep and start the jeep safari to track the tiger trails. Chitwan is one of the best sites in the world to spot tigers in the wild after the Bardia National Park in Nepal. There are specific places in Chitwan National Park where the chances of encountering tigers are higher. Some of the most likely locations where tigers are frequently seen in Chitwan are Vulke Salghari, Katan ( Riu River), Thulo Bhaluwahi, Sano Bhaluwahi, Jarneli Area, Kachhuwani Chowk, Sukivar Area and so on. We will be scouting out these locations for 3 to 4 days until we spot a tiger. Today, we will cover the areas like Vulke Salghari, Katan (Riu River), and Thulo Bhaluwahi.

During the tiger tracking process, we also will engage in the jungle walk in areas like Vulke Salgari, Temple Tiger, Saili Maili, and Kukurn Khola. We come across many wild animals like Asian Elephants, One-horned Rhinoceros, sambar deer, spotted deer, hog deer, swamp deer, black buck, wild boar, leopard, golden jackal, hyenas and many more during the jeep safari and nature walk.

There are view towers (Machans) at different spots inside the forest of the park where we can wait for unaware wild animals including the big cat tigers to pass us by. Expert nature guides will lead you to the places that precisely know the places with a chance of tiger sightings. The guide will identify the exact location of the tiger by observing its movements and looking for cues such as pug marks, scratch marks, scats, scents, and alarm calls. The waiting game begins when the guide finds the ideal location. You will patiently await the arrival of the tiger at the specified spot. Once you see the tiger, please your eyes and take some shots to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On this day, a delicious packed lunch will be served so that you do not need to return to the hotel for lunch.  It saves our time allowing us to spend the entire time tracking tigers and other wildlife all day long. Take a break in a secure spot determined by the naturalist and enjoy the lunch. Following lunch, we will make another push in the direction of the hotspots of tiger seeing in the dense jungle in pursuit of the Royal Bengal Tiger.

4

Full Day Tiger Tracking and tower/ hotel stay

We will be tracking the Royal Bengal Tigers for one more day. We will explore more jungle trails and core places with the best chances to witness the tigers, keeping an eye out for these magnificent creatures on this day at potential spots, including Sano Bhaluwahi,  and the Jarneli area.

On this day we will drive towards the jungle tower for the overnight stay to experience the wilderness and witness the wildlife as well. After arriving at the tower, we will take a forest stroll and soak in the sunset from the jungle. The nature guide and another assistant will stay in the same tower during the tower night; if the guide notices any animal movement, the guide will wake you up.

In the midst of the lush forest, experience staying in a wooden tower. Such tower stays are quite common in the Chitwan National Park of Nepal. These towers are located in the corridor forest where there is frequent movement of animals. Mostly in the early morning and late afternoon, when animals are more active, these tower stays offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the wide range of wildlife such as rhinos, elephants, deer, different bird species, and occasionally even tigers. For wildlife photographers, a tower stay provides a great opportunity for capturing stunning shots of the wildlife in their natural setting.

The tower stay is a unique accommodation alternative where you can spend the night in an observation tower to see the wildlife and nature from a high vantage point. Also, you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset views as well from the tower along with the wide-angle views of the forest. So, feel the excitement of being close to nature with the chirping birds, roaring tigers, grazing deer, wild elephants, and rhinos wandering freely nearby.
