Bardia National Park is one of Nepal's most important wildlife destinations and offers an exceptional wilderness experience for observing the Royal Bengal Tiger, Greater One-Horned Rhinoceros, Asian Elephant, deer, crocodiles and hundreds of species of birds.

Our private safari combines experienced wildlife trackers, private jeep safaris, walking safaris and flexible wildlife exploration. We focus on understanding animal behaviour, reading signs of wildlife activity and spending quality time in the forest.

Whether you are a wildlife photographer, nature lover, first-time safari traveler or serious tiger enthusiast, this private Bardia safari gives you the opportunity to experience Nepal's wildlife away from the crowds.

WHY CHOOSE OUR BARDIA TIGER SAFARI?

Dedicated Tiger Tracking

Track tigers with an expert team of experienced wildlife trackers, photographers, and filmmakers, including Manju, Sushila, Ranju, and more—some featured in the BBC documentary Tiger Island in Bardia. With years of field experience, they read tiger tracks, alarm calls, prey movement, and other signs to give you the best possible chance of finding wild tigers.

Enjoy your safari in a private vehicle rather than joining a large group. This allows greater flexibility during wildlife viewing and photography.

TIGER TRACKING IN BARDIA

How Do We Look for Tigers?

Tiger tracking is not simply about driving through the jungle and hoping to see a tiger.
Our experienced trackers observe the forest and look for signs of wildlife activity, including animal tracks, alarm calls, territorial markings, prey movement and other clues.

Safari routes and timing may be adjusted according to recent wildlife activity, weather, season and park conditions.

Patience is an important part of wildlife watching. Sometimes the most memorable experience is not only seeing a tiger, but understanding the forest and the signs that reveal its presence.

Additional Information of Bardia National Park Tiger Safari

BEST TIME FOR BARDIA TIGER SAFARI

Bardia can be visited throughout much of the year, but wildlife viewing conditions vary by season.

February to May is generally considered an excellent period for tiger and wildlife viewing, particularly as vegetation becomes more open and animals are often easier to observe.

October to December can also offer excellent wildlife-viewing conditions following the monsoon, with pleasant weather and good visibility.

Our team can recommend the best period based on your target species, photography goals and travel dates.

HOW TO REACH BARDIA NATIONAL PARK

The most convenient route is generally:

Kathmandu → Nepalgunj → Bardia National Park

You can fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and then travel by road to your lodge near Bardia National Park.

We arrange the necessary transfers as part of the private safari package.

    OPTIONAL WILDLIFE EXPERIENCES

Depending on your interests, season and local conditions, we can include additional experiences such as:

    • Blackbuck sighting at Krishnasar Conservation Area
    • Crocodile and Turtle Breeding Centre visit
    • Village and cultural experience
    • Birdwatching
    • River safari
    • Walking safari
    • Wildlife photography

Also, camera trapping and conservation-related activities on your available time.

    IS THIS A PRIVATE SAFARI?

    Yes.

This is an exclusive private wildlife safari, not a joining group tour.

Your safari vehicle, guide and itinerary are arranged for your private group. This provides greater flexibility for wildlife watching, photography and personal interests.

    WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS

Can You Guarantee a Tiger Sighting?

No responsible wildlife operator can guarantee a tiger sighting because tigers are wild animals living in their natural habitat.

Our focus is on responsible wildlife tracking, patience and maximizing opportunities through experienced trackers, appropriate safari timing and multiple days in the park.

The more time you spend in the forest, the more opportunities you have to encounter different species.

You’ll have an experienced team with strong photography and filming skills, giving you excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. For the best experience, we recommend a minimum of 4 full safari days.

WHY BARDIA FOR A TIGER SAFARI?

Bardia offers something increasingly valuable to wildlife travelers: space, wilderness and a more peaceful safari atmosphere.

Instead of simply ticking wildlife species off a list, our Bardia safari is designed around spending time in nature and experiencing the forest through the eyes of experienced local trackers.

For travelers whose main goal is the Royal Bengal Tiger, Bardia provides an exciting opportunity to explore one of Nepal’s important tiger landscapes while also experiencing a wide range of other wildlife.
